Family & Friends

Have been thoroughly enjoying being back in Dublin, though I’m pretty sure that NZ is where I want to live at the moment. Still, it has been fun catching up with friends, and seeing family – especially mum and dad – hearing how their work in Uganda is going.

Had a lovely afternoon with my nephew Robin. It’s quite a lot of fun being the Uncle from New Zealand, getting to spoil them rotten on Ice Cream and Hot Chocolate (though we did have bread and humus to start with)

Slightly nervous about the slideshow now.. Declan wrote the following to the climbing club mailing list..

It has just been confirmed to me that Patrick Davey’s parents will be at the slideshow he is giving on Monday. This means everyone should bring underwear, clean or dirty, to throw at him during his talk – just to show our appreciation….

Also had a nice evening out with some of my friends from Engineering.. funny how it doesn’t really seem like much time has passed at all. We went to a nice restaurant called El Bahia – Moroccan food. The Belly dancer was unexpected, though Gordo put on a pretty valiant effort.

Then a few drinks in Dakota – it’s like I’ve never been away!
